FOUR SESSION INTRODUCTORY CLASS
Starts February 12, 2000 Fly-fishing is considered by many to be the most challenging of all angling sports. Nothing can match the excitement you will experience with a fly rod. Check our photos from a recent class! These schools are designed to acquaint the beginner and novice student to the use of fly fishing equipment. Classroom sessions cover basic equipment – rod, reel, and flylines. Also knots, fly selections and leader designs. Basic casting techniques will take place on the water. The casting sessions are hands on with one instructor per five students. The cost of the class is $80.00 per student, for 12 hours of instruction. Each class is limited to 10 people. The classes are broken up into 4 sessions. Two Saturday night classroom style 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. One Sunday morning casting class. 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Students will meet at the shop and caravan to a local park with a pond to cast on. The last part of the class will be held on Sunday February 27th for an outing to a local stream (weather permitting). Please bring a lunch and water, a fishing license and parking permit. What you will need for the class, note book and pencil if you would like to take notes. Fly rod and reel with flyline. Your grandfathers old rod, a friends rod or your own. If you don’t have a fly rod, one can be provided for you to use. Remember to register early to ensure a spot in your desired class. A $40.00 deposit is required.
