Introduction to fly tying

YOUR OWN FLIES
INTRODUCTION TO FLY TYING: This class covers the basics and is a must
for the new flytier. This class covers the use of tools, hook styles,
and use of materials.
For this class you will need these basic tools:
(1) Vise
(2) Whip finisher
(3) Hackle Pliers
(4) Bobbin
(5) Bodkin
(6) Half hitch tool
(7) Hair stacker
(8) Tying thread 6/0 Black
(9) Head cement
(10) Dubbing wax
(11) All-purpose scissors
All other hooks and materials are supplied. This class is limited to six
persons, we achieve better individual instruction this way. Two hours of
instruction per session . Classes are held in the shop on Sundays from
3:30 to 5:30.The cost of this class is $150.00 with a minimum of three
students to make up the class. Our six weeks of
instruction will cover “Dry Flies” weighted and
unweighted “Nymphs” “Wet Flies” and “Streamers”. This
class will start on March 30, 2003. Your
instructor for the classes will be Nathan Bordofsky.
